As for recording quality, we are still working on it. Since we don’t have any funding except from our own pockets things are a bit slow.

@Suja, I totally agree the sound quality is not good.

Yeah sites like Facebook and Twitter get “funding” to run their startups (servers, hosting etc), but isn’t it the ad’s the only revenue they get to pay the employees salaries?

i think http://beta.wixi.com/ is really cool video and muzic sharing site, at first they offered free unlimited premium account, i was lucky to get it, now get only 15 days trial.

@shaffan vista is actually not an entirely bad OS. the complaint that i have is that it is very processor hungry and can bring your system to a screeching halt at times.

@maail extensions like adblock plus actually kills business models. i think facebook will have more ways to make money. then again startups like twitter doesn’t have a revenue model but they still manage to raise millions of funding.

@nass ms should have just improved upon XP instead of trying to create a whole new OS.

I have been using Vista Premium for around 1 yr now.. n it havnt created any problems for me. But, recently, I have been dual booting with XP SP3. Yet, none of the OS is slow.. (not to a level that i cant tolerate).

Yea! the UAC in Vista is annoying, but as shaff and Maail said, it is helpful to some users.

The idea of ’8tracks dhivehi version’ is cool.

Anyway, its a great episode.. but i think you guys can still improve in recording. Some background sounds and fading gaps inbetween are really annoying. Hoping for improvements in recording..

XP is still the best for me… i don’t face any problems with it so i don’t see any reason moving to Vista or Linux (yet)

Promoting opensource software is important, not only for home or government, but business organisations as well. We could do with a “Maldives Open Source Initiative” or sumthing … free CDs of Linux and other software like OpenOffice could be distributed…. presentations can be given for students and IT people working in government/businesses.

Windows Vista is the Windows Me (remember that?) of this generation..

I personally hate the look and the “new taskbar” of Windows 7. I’m not going to go use Windows 7. Either Windows XP or I’m going to move to Mac OS.

UAC is important for the casual computer user. But annoying for power users I guess. It can be disabled though.

I agree Safari is crap.

Ever heard about Adblock Plus?

Isn’t the ad’s the only way to get revenue for sites such as Facebook?

the first time i heard @shaff saying vista sucks i switched from vista to XP last night. 200% faster!! used vista for 1 and a half months, had 4GB ram. it kept on giving me blue screens.

about safari on iphone, it sucks big time, crashes with lots of websites. unreliable.
